Expert Online Tutoring
Concept Tutors provides expert 1-to-1 online A Level Business Studies tutoring. Business Studies requires applying frameworks and theory to unfamiliar case studies under timed conditions. Students who give generic textbook answers instead of context-specific analysis consistently lose evaluation marks.
The Curriculum
Cambridge AS & A Level are post-16 qualifications that serve as the primary university entrance route for students at British-curriculum schools globally. AS Level is typically completed in one year (Grade 12); full A Level across two years (Grades 12–13). A Level results directly determine university offers from UK, US, Australian, Canadian and other international universities.
Grade range: Grade 12–13 (Year 12–13), Ages 16–19
Boards: Cambridge (CAIE), Edexcel, AQA, OCR
Exam sessions: May–June each year (main session); some boards offer January resits
The Subject
Business Studies requires applying frameworks and theory to unfamiliar case studies under timed conditions. Students who give generic textbook answers instead of context-specific analysis consistently lose evaluation marks.
Our tutors train students to read case study data analytically, apply business tools (SWOT, Porter's Five Forces, ratio analysis) precisely and structure evaluation responses using the specific language that examiners reward.
Academic Progression
A Level builds directly on IGCSE foundations. Subject choice, grade requirements and workload increase significantly. Most students take 3–4 A Level subjects.
Strong IGCSE grades (A*/A in the subject) are the standard entry requirement for A Level. Students who struggle at IGCSE typically need additional support before attempting A Level in that subject.
First year of post-16 study. Some boards allow AS Level as a standalone qualification; others treat it as the first half of the full A Level. Examination sessions in May–June. Core concepts established at this stage are built upon heavily in the A2 year.
Second and final year. Examinations in May–June. University offers are typically conditional on A Level grades. Subjects like Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics require continuous practice and past paper work throughout the year.

A Level is the standard post-IGCSE route at most British-curriculum schools in the UAE. Students at GEMS Wellington, Dubai College, Jumeirah College, Repton Dubai and Brighton College Abu Dhabi commonly pursue A Levels before applying to UK and international universities.
A Levels are offered at international schools across India including The British School New Delhi, Dhirubhai Ambani International School Mumbai, Oberoi International School, Stonehill International Bangalore and other Cambridge and Edexcel-affiliated schools. Online A Level tutoring is increasingly popular for Indian students in Gurgaon, Noida, Mumbai, Bangalore and Hyderabad.

Common Questions
How does 1-to-1 online A Level Business tutoring work?
Sessions are fully online via a shared interactive whiteboard where tutor and student write, draw diagrams and work through problems together. The tutor shares their screen for worked examples and students can annotate questions in real time. All sessions are recorded so students can revisit explanations before exams.
How many A Level Business tutoring sessions do I need?
This depends on the student's current level, how far the exams are and how many gaps need to be addressed. Most students see meaningful improvement with 2 sessions per week over 2–3 months. We offer packages of 24, 50 and 100 classes to suit different timelines and levels of support needed.
What is the difference between A Level Core and Extended?
A Level subjects are designed to stretch students at the appropriate level. Our tutors assess the student's current ability and advise on the most suitable tier.
Do your A Level Business tutors cover past papers and mark schemes?
Yes — past paper practice is central to every tutoring programme. Our tutors train students to read case study data analytically, apply business tools (SWOT, Porter's Five Forces, ratio analysis) precisely and structure evaluation responses using the specific language that examiners reward. Examiners reward specific language and method; our tutors train students in exactly what earns marks on their specific board.
