The Curriculum
CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) is India's most widely followed school curriculum, governing over 25,000 schools in India and 240+ schools abroad including many in the UAE and Middle East. CBSE follows the NCERT syllabus and conducts the Class 10 Board Examination and Class 12 Board Examination — both high-stakes assessments that determine university admissions in India.

Academic Progression
CBSE follows a structured progression from middle school through to the board examinations that determine university entry.
Foundation stage covering core subjects: Mathematics, Science, Social Science, English and Hindi. Grade 8 is often the last year before subject specialisation begins. Building strong foundations in Mathematics and Science at this stage significantly reduces difficulty in Grades 9–10.
Leads to the CBSE Class 10 Board Examination. Students study five main subjects. Marks from Grade 10 Boards directly affect school changes and stream selection. Science and Mathematics are the most commonly tutored subjects at this stage.
Students choose one of three streams: Science (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology), Commerce (Accounts, Business Studies, Economics) or Humanities. Grade 12 Board results determine admission to undergraduate programmes at Indian universities including IITs (via JEE), AIIMS, Delhi University and other top institutions.
