Expert Online Tutoring
Concept Tutors provides expert 1-to-1 online CBSE Chemistry tutoring. Chemistry combines conceptual understanding, mathematical calculation and precise recall. Organic mechanisms, mole calculations, electrochemistry and spectroscopy each require distinct skills — and most exams test all of them.
The Curriculum
CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) is India's most widely followed school curriculum, governing over 25,000 schools in India and 240+ schools abroad including many in the UAE and Middle East. CBSE follows the NCERT syllabus and conducts the Class 10 Board Examination and Class 12 Board Examination — both high-stakes assessments that determine university admissions in India.
Grade range: Grade 1–12
Boards: CBSE
Exam sessions: February–March each year for Class 10 and Class 12 Board Examinations
The Subject
Chemistry combines conceptual understanding, mathematical calculation and precise recall. Organic mechanisms, mole calculations, electrochemistry and spectroscopy each require distinct skills — and most exams test all of them.
Our tutors break reaction mechanisms into logical steps, use spaced repetition for recall-heavy topics and work through past paper questions with detailed mark scheme annotation. Sessions are structured around the specific syllabus topics where each student loses the most marks.
Academic Progression
CBSE follows a structured progression from middle school through to the board examinations that determine university entry.
Foundation stage covering core subjects: Mathematics, Science, Social Science, English and Hindi. Grade 8 is often the last year before subject specialisation begins. Building strong foundations in Mathematics and Science at this stage significantly reduces difficulty in Grades 9–10.
Leads to the CBSE Class 10 Board Examination. Students study five main subjects. Marks from Grade 10 Boards directly affect school changes and stream selection. Science and Mathematics are the most commonly tutored subjects at this stage.
Students choose one of three streams: Science (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology), Commerce (Accounts, Business Studies, Economics) or Humanities. Grade 12 Board results determine admission to undergraduate programmes at Indian universities including IITs (via JEE), AIIMS, Delhi University and other top institutions.

Common Questions
How does 1-to-1 online CBSE Chemistry tutoring work?
Sessions are fully online via a shared interactive whiteboard where tutor and student write, draw diagrams and work through problems together. The tutor shares their screen for worked examples and students can annotate questions in real time. All sessions are recorded so students can revisit explanations before exams.
How many CBSE Chemistry tutoring sessions do I need?
This depends on the student's current level, how far the exams are and how many gaps need to be addressed. Most students see meaningful improvement with 2 sessions per week over 2–3 months. We offer packages of 24, 50 and 100 classes to suit different timelines and levels of support needed.
What is the difference between CBSE Core and Extended?
CBSE subjects are designed to stretch students at the appropriate level. Our tutors assess the student's current ability and advise on the most suitable tier.
Do your CBSE Chemistry tutors cover past papers and mark schemes?
Yes — past paper practice is central to every tutoring programme. Our tutors break reaction mechanisms into logical steps, use spaced repetition for recall-heavy topics and work through past paper questions with detailed mark scheme annotation. Sessions are structured around the specific syllabus topics where each student loses the most marks. Examiners reward specific language and method; our tutors train students in exactly what earns marks on their specific board.
